Add a URL link so I can tie back to an external system
Instead of integrating with any one system, I'd be happy to just have a dedicated Link field (URL) that I can put my VersionOne, TFS, Jira, etc. work item URL in and can quickly access that system with a click.

For a workaround I usually use the title and description field like this:
Title: #19501 Assign issue to author
Description:
_A good idea might be to add an option ``<<author>>`` to 'assignee' select for issues._
Redmine: http://www.redmine.org/issues/19501# Acceptance criteria
* happy path: setting the assignee to author -> assignee of the issue is the author
* author is not part of the project anymore -> can't be set as assignee
* etc...(please copy it to a card's description to see how it looks like)
Then I can easily navigate to the issue tracking system (or any related things like google docs).
