    I have to agree with Roland. Story mapping is developed in a horizontal direction with a vertical timeline. But in today's digital world we usually work with vertically arranged information, like web pages, papers and other information sources.

    Vertical orientation is more comfortable in its operation as opposed to scrolling in a horizontal direction.
