  1. Better Presentation of Markup Help Screen

Suggest your Markup Help screen be in 2 columns.

Column 1 - the markup language.

Column 2 - the visual effect of the markup language (placed at the same vertical position as the Column 1 markup - so that you can see the correlation).

This is easier than scrolling down to see what the markup language will look like.

  2. Baseline to compare state from two different dates

I have certain milestones dates. I use stories on board to track my progress.

Now today, I want to see my progress compared to my previous milestone. I want to see if the scope has changed a lot (more cards or less cards) and the difference in progress. Also to track if the priorities of the cards (Release wise) has changed a lot.

It is a nice to have feature that we may do without, but since we want managers to use Stories On Board as tracking and planning and they are used to baselines in other planning tools, it…

  3. Show card color scheme as a legend

"I first used the card colours to indicate the MoSCoW priority. In another board the card colour was used to indicate the product owner. It’s a flexible tool which is great. I’d just like a means for communicating to or reminding viewers what the colour represents on each board." - Kirk

  7. Link boards to share cards

I have two different needs that requires 2 different boards but using the same cards.

I want a journey map where I will map my features and steps in a journey map. This will be for me as a Product owner. I will then create releases to map my expected deliveries. That I can already do.

Then for my development team, I would like to map the same cards but by Epic. I have multiple teams that "owns" epics and they will want during planning to map my stories from my journey board into an Epic Map where they would…

  8. Create linked clone/replica/instance for same card show multiple places on one board

When mapping my journey, I sometime face the situation that I have the same action at different place.

For example, I have many places where I need to "Create an item". The "Create an item" story would be used at multiple places.

So I would like a "link and clone" or "shadow" or "replica" mechanism that would allow me to create from an existing card another card that would have all of its properties "mapped/linked" to the original card.

So if I change title, the title of the replica/clone/shadow would change. Same for description, attachments...

    It would be a second…

  9. In third level (White Cards), have vertical siblings, like second level (Yellow cards)

I try to thin slice my User Stories. That means that some of my User Stories are sequential tasks or journey points.

Currently I can, under a Yellow Card on the second level, put Stories one after the other on the third level in vertical columns. But I can't create a vertical layout to map stories "link" between columns.

Ability to have side cards like the yellow card is very important for the third level.

Because most likely one story will be just before another or may be actually in same level.

For example, "Online Paying" can be with Visa…

  10. Trello lists as statuses

Trello config: optionally replace storiesonboard statuses with Trello board list name (you already know those from being able to map them against your own statuses). Offer to map against custom color instead of storiesonboard statuses.

  12. Reuse color scheme between story maps

We are using a color scheme with labels such as "Comments", "Notes", "Feature", etc. but currently it needs to be set up individually in each story map. We'd like to reuse this scheme on new maps so we don't need to set it up again and again.

  15. View the map without gaps of the release slices

"After creating the story map and then 'slicing' it into releases, I would still like to view it without the slices, i.e. with all the sub-tasks stacked under the main tasks one after another rather than having the gaps that you get after slicing it. Does that make sense? I almost regretted it slicing it too early.

Same for export, because I think it changes the export order." - Mike

  19. Use hash tags to identify concepts, and rename them

There are usually some concepts that are captured with a word,
where you later want to use a different word. For example, in my design, a user can create a Suggestion, where previously this was called a Proposal.

If you tag your "concept" words with a hash, then you can rename your concepts easily. If my card would read "The #User can add a #Proposal" then a rename from Proposal --> Suggestion would automatically update the text of this card (and all other cards where #Proposal was used).

This will of course also make it possible to filter your stories…
